Long overdue...

I always thought that I was busy before, but now I know the true meaning of being busy with a new baby. Brenly is now little over 4months old & the light of mommy & daddy's life. Don't know what we would do without her, she is amazing!!! I still have not left her overnight anywhere, call me crazy, but I can't part without her yet. It is hard enough leaving her at the sitters when mommy has to go to work. I want her with me, I don't care to do anythingelse, & daddy is the same way!! She is now so busy, rolling over, jabbering, loves to stand & sit. And we have mastered sweet potatoes, no on carrots & will start squash in a few days.

Once again, this is long overdue, but after 2.5 hours of pushing, Brenly Mae Francis made her appearance, August 11, 2010 at 2:19 pm. She weighed 8lbs, 9oz & 20.5inches long. With a dimple chin & head full of dark hear, she instantly stole mommy & daddy's heart. We are so excited to have her, & everyone just knew we were having a boy...SUPRISE!! The first couple of months were a little rocky, Brenly had colic & was inconsolable in the evenings, especially at 6pm at night...ugghh, so glad she grew out of that. I don't know who cried more, Brenly or mommy?!? We are well past those days, although she is not big on crowds or strangers, but overall is a happy baby. We survived the christmas holidays, & didn't get spoiled too much :)

Feeling fat & sassy already

Can't believe we are over half way....24weeks 5 days to be exact!!! I have been feeling better most days here lately, still have periods of yuckiness, but the steroids seem to keep me in check!! Go back to the doctor week from today....feel like my belly has grown a ton!! Brandon & Brad got the crib put together, so the nursery looks more like a nursery now. Brandon & I have been enjoying our little secret of knowing the gender, but not telling. I think everyone at work is ready to strangle me, but all in good fun!!! they threaten to buy us black things, but that's okay, Baby B can wear black too!! Looking forward to more of the nice weather, Brandon is off on weekends now which is awesome!!!! We got our pictures taken today....anxious to see how the belly looks, Brandon was a good sport about it & didn't complain once!!!! Looking forward to our baby shower, June 26. Katie went with me to register....wow, didn't realize all of the baby stuff possible, BabysRus has it all!!! will post ultrasound pics at 20 weeks, any guesses on the gender?

Exciting News

Well, probably by now everyone has heard our exciting news...Brandon & I are expecting our first child in August....the baby has already be named rotten, because it hasn't been so nice to it's mommy!!! Never thought that something so small could make you feel so awful, but I guess through it all, hopefully it will get better & we are very, very excited. I actually got to see the ultrasound first & got to hear the heartbeat when I was around 8 weeks, right before I got admitted the 1st time, Dr.Rise Hatten had them check for measurements & verify the due date when I went to the hospital & Brandon & Jess both walked in at the same time. So they got to see as well. It was amazing to hear the heartbeat & see this alien looking thing moving around with the heart motion & know it's from your own belly. I always loved to use the dopplar while in ER and hear the fetal heart tones of expectant mothers, never realized how neat it can be once it is you!! Brandon being the smart ass he is asked why it was black, which made everyone laugh......geez!
I am starting to feel better now, although I have not returned back to work yet. The plan is for Monday, & I am ready, just hope I can make it. I have gotten to know my OB doctor & nursing staff very well already, 3 admissions into the hospital because of hyperemesis over approximately 3 week time, not so much fun, especially when you're off work! (Didn't know the first trimester of pregnancy was a weight loss program) I was placed on steroids this last time, which really seem to help.
Brandon has been absolutely wonderful through this all, & don't know where I would be without him, he has gotten really good at cleaning out & loading the dishwasher, cooking & laundry. and to my family I have been letting him go, not redoing it or complaining because it is done & I don't have the energy & I appreciate it. Brandon has really suprised me, really pays attention to what the doctor says, talks about what the baby is doing now, how big it is, what it's developing, I think he's a little more excited than I am. Brandon & I had known the news since the middle of December, but wasn't planning on telling until around February, but everyone got to find out a little early. I couldn't hide it once I got admitted the first time to OB.
Our family, friends, nieces & nephews are really excited, and have been very thoughtful & appreciated with all the cards, thoughts & prayers!! Hallie wants to know what we are having, what its name is & when it is coming, I wish it was that simple too!! Karli wants it to be a girl & we should name her Sophia, but Brandon has to change all the diapers, which sound good to me!! I know Brandon's parents are really excited as well, being the 1st grandchild for them...and the Yockey side will get 2 new additions within 2 weeks, because Lindsay & Ethan Weber are due 2 weeks behind us, so all kinds of new babies this year!! I will try better & to keep you posted, but no guarantees!! Haven't been out much, so don't really know what is happening in the world, but ready to get back into the flow of things!
